Fernando Porras

Deep inside the magnificent delta of the Orinoco River in Venezuela, lives the gentle tribe of the Warauno people. Like many other indigenous groups of the South American rainforest, their civilization is being shattered by the constant exploitation of the area. Fernando Porras, a native Venezuelan, reveals through his oils and watercolors, his intimate stories of these mysterious and beautiful people. It is his intent to celebrate them while creating awareness and support necessary to maintain their culture and customs.
